The Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes from Rossignol-Trapet is a Burgundy red wine that draws its fruit from some of the oldest vines on the estate, lending the wine an exceptional concentration and complexity rarely found at the village level. The 2019 vintage harnesses the power of the old vines and the depth of the year, yielding a dense and brooding wine with a profound core of black cherry, liquorice and mineral-driven earthiness. It presents a velvety texture followed by a persistent, complex finish, built upon sturdy, long-chain tannins that firmly suggest decades of cellar life.
